It looks like drones are starting to take over our world, slowly but surely. After all, they are pretty decent agents when it comes to delivering small parcels and beating the traffic, right? The thing is, recreational drone users will most probably have to register themselves with the US government in due time, and it looks like there will be more and more regulations which concern drones in due time. Having said that, here we are with Google’s delivery drone in action, not too long after reporting that Google has registered its redesigned delivery drones that will be tested in the US.
Basically, the drone in question managed to drop a package at the company’s Zeitgeist confab over in Arizona, and did so in a graceful manner to boot. Such drones would hail from a segment of the Project Wing initiative that is within Google X, where it was unveiled in 2014. Google does seem to be working towards the direction of having its drones track across the distance of five miles in a matter of five minutes. So far, there has been no word on the launch date for the delivery program just yet, but most probably it will go up against a similar program from Amazon.
