While Apple’s iPhones might not necessarily sport the best cameras on smartphones, they are usually very consistent in its quality and are typically used as benchmarks to compare other phones with. Now with the Nexus 6P being ranked pretty highly for its camera, we’re sure some are wondering how does it stack up against Apple’s iPhone 6?
While we have seen some official sample photos released, if you’re looking for unofficial test shots you’re in luck. Thanks to a post on Reddit (via Phandroid), it seems that the original poster has managed to get their hands on a Nexus 6P ahead of its official released, and has snapped some test photos with the phone and compared it against that of the iPhone 6.
From what we can tell as these photos are taken at night in less than ideal lighting conditions, the Nexus 6P holds up pretty well and actually outperforms the iPhone 6. Its images are rendered brighter, thus making them clearer and showing off more details in the process. However if anything, noise reproduction in the Nexus 6P is more apparent in these situations.
Despite the noise, these photos are still very usable and if you’re just planning on uploading them onto social media for friends and family to see, it is more than capable of getting the job done.
