With every release of hardware or software, there is bound to be a hiccup or two. So far thankfully Apple’s new iPhones aren’t plagued by bend gate, but it looks like some iPhone 6s users are reporting a different kind of problem: random shutting down. According to reports on Reddit, some iPhone 6s owners are finding that their phones are turning off for no reason.
According to one post, “I set an alarm on my 6S tonight for the morning and left it on its original charger to leave it charging overnight as I’ve been doing since I got it on release date. I just happened to wake up now to use the bathroom and checked my phone, but to my surprise, neither the home or power button would wake my phone up.”
That user goes on to state that pressing down the power and home button to perform a hard reset was only when the phone came back to life. Other users have also reported similar issues, like on the Apple support forums where it seems that everyone is experiencing pretty much the same problem.
It is unclear as to what might be causing this issue. Given that it is only happening to iPhone 6s owners, chances are it could be a hardware issue instead of a software one, especially since no other iPhone owners have reported similar problems. Any of our readers with the iPhone 6s experiencing similar issues?
