BlackBerry might be a company that is far removed from its heydays when it seemed to be untouchable in a sense, delivering secure communications within the business environment, but it seems that times are clearly a-changing, with the smartphone manufacturer having fallen from grace when the iPhone took off in the previous decade. It is still around though, and recently confirmed that it will have an Android-powered BlackBerry Priv device, although not much is known about it.
New photos of the BlackBerry Priv do point to some rather high powered specifications that are located right under the hood of the BlackBerry Priv, where among them include a 64-bit processor, which in all probability, would be the six-core Snapdragon 808, although this remains to be confirmed, of course. Not only that, there is also the capability for the BlackBerry Priv to capture 4K video at 30fps using its 18MP camera that is located at the back.
Other hardware specifications include a 5.5” dual curve display that in all likelihood, hails from the folks over at Samsung, alongside a sliding, touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry does suggest that the Priv will continues in the company’s legacy, being one of the most secure smartphones out there. Only time will tell.
