When it comes to Android-based tablets, one might think of brands such as ASUS, Samsung, and Huawei. While ZTE and Huawei seem to be competing with each other, the former isn’t particularly known for their tablets, but that could soon change. According to recent benchmark sightings (via Pocketnow), a new ZTE tablet could be in the works.
Based on the rumors, this particular tablet is said to be part of its Axon lineup. The benchmarks revealed its model number to be the A2016 and according to the results, it seems that this will be a 13.7-inch tablet. It’s actually a rather odd size for a tablet since most OEMs tend to go for sizes like 7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, or even 12-inches.
If anything we suppose it sounds more like a laptop size, but if you do prefer a larger screen for productivity purposes, why not? The benchmarks have also revealed it to sport a Full HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset powering it. There will be 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and weirdly enough ZTE has opted for a 7MP front-facing camera, but only a 1.8MP rear-facing camera.
Perhaps the company assumes that you would be making more video calls than snapping photos with a tablet, which we suppose makes sense. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more about the device soon.
