When you think of brands like Vertu, you probably think of devices made with luxurious materials and super expensive price tags, along with a set of specs that aren’t very impressive, at least not impressive enough to justify those prices. If that is the case, then Vertu’s newest smartphone the Signature Touch will probably surprise you a bit.
For starters instead of choosing some low-end chipset, Vertu has gone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 for the new Signature Touch. It will also come with 4GB of RAM, something many OEMs can’t lay claim to, and will also feature 64GB of storage expandable via microSD that can go up to a whopping 2TB.
It will also feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display, an upgrade over its predecessor which had a 4.7-inch display. There is also a 3,160mAh battery, Quick Charge 2.0, and support for LTE connectivity. Vertu has also tossed in a 21MP rear-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, and best of all it will come with Vertu’s Dedicated Concierge service.
What this does is basically connects you to someone who will act as your personal assistant. The feature is complimentary for 18 months versus the 12 months previously offered. So how much will all of this set you back? The Vertu Signature Touch is priced at around $9,900 and will go all the way up to $20,900 depending on your choice of materials and is expected to be available globally come mid-October.
