Last week Sony announced their latest mid-range handset in the form of the Sony Xperia M5. The handset itself is surprisingly decent given its specs and while it might not necessarily be the most powerful phone in the market, it should be good enough to get the job done and then some, but the question is, how much will it cost?
Unfortunately at the time of announce, Sony did not mention pricing. However thanks to a recent post by ePrice, a Taiwanese website, they have pegged the phone at around $400 after conversion. However because this is a direct conversion of Taiwan dollars, there is a chance that if and when it arrives stateside, it could be priced differently as well.
However at the same time given its $400 price tag, we reckon that it should not be too expensive when it is released in other markets, which last we heard from Sony should be around mid-August. Now for those who missed the announcement, here’s a quick recap on some of the handset’s specs.
It will come with a 5-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, there will be a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2GHz. It will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, support for 4G LTE networks, a 21.5MP rear-facing camera, a 13MP front-facing camera, and will come in a variety of finishes include white, black, or gold.
