Ever since Microsoft released their Surface tablets, many have been wondering if Microsoft could take those efforts and create their own smartphone. Microsoft has denied this over the years, at least until they acquired Nokia which many believed gave them the tools and resources needed to manufacture their own products.
Now according to a report from WMPoweruser, possible specs of Microsoft’s alleged Surface smartphone has surfaced. The device has been given the codename Juggernaut Alpha and if the leaked specs are the real deal, it seems like quite a powerhouse and could very well give its Android competitors a run for their money.
Starting with the display, the handset is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch ClearBlack Gorilla Glass 4 display with a QHD resolution. Under the hood, an Intel Atom x3 64-bit processor will be running the show, and will be accompanied by up to 4GB of RAM. It will feature a 21MP PureView Zeiss camera and a 8MP Zeiss front-facing camera.
It will come in 64GB or 128GB options along with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. There will also be a Surface pen that is said to function similarly to the S Pen, USB-C ports, wireless charging, and will be made from an aluminum and magnesium body. We have to admit we’re a bit skeptical as this sounds more like a wishlist rather than actual specs so do take it with a grain of salt for now.
