lenovo phbWhen you think of phablets, what is the maximum size before you would consider it a tablet? We suppose with 7-inch tablets out there, we’d guess 7-inches for a phone would be the max and even then that’s a bit ridiculous. However over in China, Lenovo is really pushing the envelope as the company has announced the Lenovo Phab Plus.

Now you probably can’t really tell from the photo, but the device pictured above sports a whopping 6.8-inch display. Yes, you read that right, it was not a typo and we meant to say 5.8-inches, this is a smartphone whose display could almost rival that of the Google Nexus 7, so you can only imagine how big that is as far as smartphones are concerned.

Unfortunately its resolution is Full HD meaning that it won’t be as sharp as it could be, but then again we’re not sure if many of you guys would be able to tell the difference. Under the hood, Lenovo has equipped it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, expandable via microSD.

There is also a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and your usually connectivity options. The Lenovo Phab Plus will also come with a sizable 3,500mAh battery and is priced at around $406. Unfortunately it appears to be exclusive in China for now, but perhaps in the future the company could bring it stateside.
