Back in May Google launched a standalone unlimited photo service called Google Photos, the service provides users with free and unlimited storage for photos as well as several powerful features for editing and sharing. The aim with Photos was to eliminate many of the frustrations involved in storing, editing and sharing photos online. Google has paid attention to what the community has been asking for and added two new features to the service.

It was announced through an update on Google+ that the Photos team has been listening to feedback from the community and has added a few often requested features for Photos on the web.

It’s now possible to change the timestamp of your photos on Google Photos, so you can essentially tell the service where and when the photos that you have uploaded were taken.

Some additional features have also been added such as the ability to rearrange the image order in albums, change the cover photo of an album and remove inaccurate results from searches.

Google has also launched a much better community product forum where members of the company’s Top Contributors program will be present to better guide new Photos users about the service. All of these changes are now live at photos.google.com.
