Last year Fossil and Intel announced a partnership where both companies would work on wearable technology together, and earlier this month at IDF 2015, Fossil took the wraps off the fruits of their labor in the form of a trio of wearables. Unfortunately apart from showing off the design, not much else was revealed.
That being said, it seems that we might have been clued in to the possible name of Fossil’s wearables. This is according to a recent trademark filing in which the company registered the name “Fossil Q”. The trademark filing makes mention to wearable technology such as smartwatches and “wearable digital electronic devices”, so safe to say that this is a wearable.
However like we said, the company showed off a trio of devices at IDF meaning that either the entire range will fall under the Fossil Q brand, or if the Fossil Q might simply be one of the names of the wearable. Unfortunately due to the company being pretty secretive about the whole thing, we suppose we will never know until they make a more detailed announcement.
No word on when Fossil will share more details about their wearables, but the company has targeted their release for the holiday season, so we will probably find out more ahead of the launch.
