It is expected that Samsung will be launching a new smartphone next month. While it’s really anyone’s guess as to what it might be, there is a very good chance it could be the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. After all Samsung typically launches Galaxy Note handsets towards the later part of the year.
Now in case you wanted more explicit confirmation, you’re in luck because Samsung themselves have just promised it. In a press release regarding the company’s latest quarterly earnings, the South Korean tech giant basically promised that they will be releasing a “new model with a larger screen” later this year.
Given that the Galaxy Note handset typically sports a larger display compared to the Galaxy S-series, we suppose it doesn’t really take a genius to figure that one out. However note that Samsung mentions “model”, as in singular, so we’re not sure how the rumored Galaxy S6 Edge+ will fit into the picture, but maybe we’re just nitpicking.
In the meantime the company’s quarterly earnings also revealed that their flagship handsets from earlier this year aren’t doing too well, so much so that Samsung is expected to adjust the prices of both devices, which we can only assume means a price cut, although exactly how much of a cut was not mentioned.
