If you’re thinking about purchasing a new product what’s the first thing you’re most likely to do? Probably search for information on it and see reviews for people who have already bought it online, and you’re likely to use Google for this purpose. This is probably why Google has seen it fit to start displaying snippets of product reviews when its search engine is used to look up such products.
Searching for a product on Google will bring up a Knowledge Graph card on the right hand side of the page which contains links to various online stores and the prices that they offer.
It will also display details about the product itself, a picture, list some of its features and snippets of what people are saying regarding that particular product.
Google appears to be pulling in product reviews from websites that actually sell these products such as B&H Photo in the case above. To read more reviews you can click through and get all of them.
This is a good addition to people who tend to use Google quite a bit before making up their mind whether or not to purchase a new product.
It will allow them to see what buyers are saying about the product on all of these different sites and also see which online stores are offering the best possible price for that product.
