Pebble’s new smartwatch, the Pebble Time, was initially launched as a Kickstarter campaign and backers were the first in time to receive the smartwatch. The company confirmed last week that non-backers will be able to pre-order the Pebble Time from Best Buy and now the smartwatch has gone live over at the retailer. It’s possible to pre-order the Pebble Time right now from Best Buy.
Best Buy is the exclusive online retailer in the United States that’s going to take pre-orders for the smartphone for people who did not pre-order it through the Kickstarter campaign.
It should be kept in mind though that Best Buy is only offering the regular Pebble Time model and not the Pebble Time Steel, it has yet to make its way to the retailer and it’s unclear at this point in time if that’s going to happen at some point in the near future.
Nevertheless, customers interested in picking up this smartwatch can now place a pre-order at Best Buy for a Pebble Time in black, red and white colors, it’s going for $199.99.
Pebble’s first generation smartwatch proved to be quite popular among people who were willing to strap a smartwatch to their wrist, the company expects to see similar performance from the Pebble Time, even though this time around it faces tough competition from the likes of Apple.
