There have been rumors that for this year’s Nexus, Google could be working with more than one company. Word has it that Huawei will be one of them and that LG could also be returning, with the company’s previous effort being the Nexus 5. That being said we’re sure many are wondering what we might be able to expect from the handset.
As far as the LG Nexus handset is concerned, reports out of South Korea have revealed some additional details, but whether or not they are true remains to be seen. For starters, they claim that the LG Nexus will be launched in October. This doesn’t come as a surprise as both the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 were announced in October of 2013 and 2014 respectively, so for Google to keep to that timeline isn’t really that surprising.
However what’s interesting is that the report claims that the handset will come with a 3D camera. We’re not sure what they meant by a 3D camera, but presumably it will be similar to what HTC had with the One M8 where there was a dual camera setup to allow for greater depth in photos and also focus adjustment similar to the Lytro’s features.
It is also expected that Android M will come preinstalled on the phone which we suppose is a given. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully more details will emerge at a later date.
