Virtual reality is not just great for playing games, but it can be used in all sorts of other ways which was demonstrated by Samsung earlier last month when they streamed a childbirth in virtual reality. It can also be used in touching ways where a man by the name of Mike Rios used Google Cardboard to propose to his girlfriend.
Basically in the video above, he used Google Cardboard along with photos from friends and family members to help pop the question. His girlfriend was guided down the street by her father and as she walked, more photos of her friends started popping up with placards, and it was after she took off the headset that she saw her boyfriend standing in front of her with a very serious question on his mind.
Spoiler alert – it has a happy ending as his girlfriend says yes to his proposal. Now we guess this hardly comes as a surprise that people would start to get more creative with their proposals, thanks to the use of technology. We have seen plenty of technology-related proposals in the past and with VR catching on, it was probably about time.
It’s a pretty cool proposal and if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check it out in its entirety in the video above.
