We’re not sure if you remember, but Katy Perry put in a performance during the halftime at the Super Bowl and while it was a commendable performance, one of her dancers affectionately referred to as “Left Shark” stole the show and captured hearts across the internet due to its goofy dance and shark costume.
For those unfamiliar, you can check the shark’s dance in the video above. That being said, Blizzard who is known for incorporating pop culture into its video games, has recently added the Katy Perry Left Shark character to its World of Warcraft MMORPG. The character is a Battle Pet which players will be able to collect and pit it against other player’s Battle Pets.
Just in case you’re not familiar, the Battle Pet system was introduced to World of Warcraft a while ago. We suppose in some ways it mimics Pokemon in which players who want to do something else other than raiding or PvP can do so by collecting pets around the world and fighting against other players.
Some of the pet’s abilities include Water Jet, Tidal Wave, Swallow You Whole, Tail Slap, Dazzling Dance, and Rain Dance. Unfortunately it is unclear as to where one might be able to locate the pet or what it will look like, but if you’re a Pet collector in World of Warcraft, then this is one pet you’ll want to keep an eye out for.
