Many companies these days are looking into wearables as wearables certainly looks like it could be the next big thing in tech. So far we’ve seen efforts from the likes of Samsung, LG, Motorola, Huawei, and now if the reports are to be believed, Oppo could be thinking about getting into the smartwatch game as well.
But what could Oppo offer that others can’t? How about fast battery charging? According to the rumors, Oppo’s upcoming smartwatch is said to feature a piece of technology that would allow its smartwatch to fully charge in just five minutes. This is very impressive and could convince customers who weren’t particularly enamored with the idea that they’d have to charge their watches on a daily basis.
This isn’t the first time Oppo has dabbled in fast-charging devices. Previously wit the Find 7 and the Oppo N3, the company has utilized their VOOC fast charging technology which helped speed up the charging times of their devices, so perhaps there is a chance the company has managed to adapt that technology in its smartwatch.
No word on when Oppo will announce their smartwatch, but if a 5 minute charging time is indeed one of its features, then you can be sure that we won’t be alone in expressing our interest in it.
