As it stands LG has two Android Wear devices – the LG G Watch and the LG G Watch R. While the LG G Watch R is probably the closest in being as classy as the Moto 360, it’s still not quite there, which is where the LG Urbane comes in. The South Korean tech company has recently taken the wraps off the LG Watch Urbane Android Wear smartwatch.
According to LG, this will be the company’s first all-metal luxury smartwatch and they will be demonstrating the device at MWC 2015. We have to admit that right off the bat we are smitten as the device does look pretty classy and if we did not know any better, we would have thought that it was a watch made by an actual luxury watchmaker.
The LG Watch Urbane will feature a circular Plastic OLED display and unlike the G Watch R, it has been designed for users who are looking for a more formal watch. LG claims that the Watch Urbane has been designed along the same lines as the G Watch R, but has some updated design elements such as a narrower bezel that makes the watch more sleek.
The body of the watch is made with stainless steel and will be available in a gold or silver finish. It is also IP67 certified making it resistant to both dust and water resistant. Pricing and availability of the LG Watch Urbane have yet to be confirmed.
