[CES 2015] Laptop chargers tend to be bulky as they usually have a huge power brick attached to them. This makes them a bit heavy and clunky to bring with you or use in public areas without worrying that someone will trip on them. Well the good news is that at CES 2015, Zolt has recently announced a tiny laptop charger that could just as easily fit into your pocket.
Now Zolt isn’t the first company to announce a charger that tiny. FIXsix’s Dart charger from 2014 offers a similar solution, but we guess having alternatives to choose from isn’t a bad thing. Zolt’s charger will offer 70-watts of output and will also come three additional USB ports. This means that this charger can not only charge your laptop, but your mobile devices at the same time.
Zolt has also announced that their charger will be available with a variety of different tips/connectors that can be used with different laptops, and the good news for Apple users is that Zolt plans on making Apple-compatible adapters in the future, but for now it looks like you guys are out of luck.
The company will begin taking pre-orders for the charger today where it will be priced starting at $80 as an introductory offer, but it will be bumped to $100 eventually and is expected to begin shipping in spring, so head on over to their website if you’d like to place a pre-order of your own.
