As for Android users, it seems that you guys will have to wait a while before Twitter makes the feature available to you guys too, although Twitter did not mention when exactly that would be happening, but hopefully it won’t take too long. For those who are unfamiliar with this particular feature, it’s basically a recap of what has happened on Twitter while you were away.
For example if you travel to overseas and you don’t have internet, the feature would aggregate all the tweets that Twitter thinks you might be interested in. According to Twitter, “Our goal is to help you keep up – or catch up – with your world, no matter how much time you spend on Twitter. With a few improvements to the home timeline we think we can do a better job of delivering on that promise without compromising the real time nature of Twitter.”
It is unclear as to how this will be done, but Twitter has stated that it will be determined by engagement and other factors. The recap feature will also appear more to those who check Twitter once in a while. If you’re an avid Twitter user then chances are you might not be seeing this feature as much as those who check their Twitter feeds once every few days or weeks.
