One of the companies expected to show off something amazing is Xiaomi. The company is rumored to unveil its new flagship smartphone at the conference.
According to reports originating from China, Xiaomi is going to unveil its next generation flagship smartphone called the Mi5 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015.
While the company hasn’t officially confirmed anything about this smartphone right now it is believed that the Mi5 is going to be powered by a quadcore processor from Qualcomm. It may even tout a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a fingerprint reader.
Xiaomi has established itself as a strong player in the market because it has kept profit margins quite low to push high-end smartphones are very competitive prices. If it does that with the Mi5 as well, which is expected to cost around $320, at least in China flagships from big OEMs like Samsung are likely to come under threat.
Both Samsung and HTC are due to unveil new Android flagships in the coming year though their new smartphones might not be unveiled until the Mobile World Congress 2015.
