We know that Microsoft has been making several changes and improvements to Bing to make it more useful and functional like what Google has done with their own search. Well if you’re a Bing user who is planning on going on holiday and are looking for hotels to stay at, Microsoft has announced that they have updated Bing with hotel booking features.
The hotel booking feature is a collaboration with TripAdvisor and basically will allow users to make bookings from the search page itself. As you can see in the screenshot above, a search for a hotel on Bing will pull up the results as well as a map on the right along with the ability to allow users to search for availability for the dates that they will be staying at.
The partnership with TripAdvisor will also display reviews below the booking option so that users will be able to access reviews at a glance to know if that the hotel they are going to is worth it or not. The hotel booking feature is currently rolled out to 22 countries around the world and is available in 14 different languages.
In addition to the hotel booking feature, Microsoft has also updated Bing and improved its mobile presence. The end result is a much cleaner and informative interface that will hopefully making mobile browsing of Bing a more pleasurable experience.
