Xiaomi might be doing something right in recent times – after all, they managed to pull in a whopping $163 million in revenue during the recent Singles’ Day in China. Having said that, the company is rumored to roll out a brand new low end (or entry level, if that happens to sound a whole lot better to you) smartphone which will retail for a mere $65. It will allegedly make use of the Leadcore LC1860 processor that happens to have its background based on the A7 architecture.
Apart from that, this Leadcore LC1860 processor is said to have been clocked at 2.0GHz, and it will be paired alongside the Mali T628 GPU. This particular chip will be able to support 2K displays, in addition to 1080p @60fps video capture, and LTE support. In the published specifications sheet, this $65 smartphone will also feature 1GB RAM.
Do bear in mind that what you see above might not be the actual $65 smartphone from Xiaomi, but it could be there just for illustration purposes, or to function as a red herring of sorts. Only time will be able to tell. Right now, Xiaomi also has the low end market covered with their Xiaomi Redmi 1S that do seem to offer hardware specifications that happen to be in a similar ballpark somewhat.
