Earlier this morning, we did make mention about the possibility of Verizon Wireless and Motorola rolling out a new Droid device with rapid charging capability sometime next month. There was no name attached to this particular device, although it seems that it could very well end up being called the Motorola Droid Turbo. Apart from that, the mid-October rollout date is also tipped to happen, and as with any other good rumor out there, time will be able to tell whether it is going to come true or not.
In addition, this might be the only new Droid device that will arrive from both Motorola as well as Verizon later this year. As for its possible hardware specifications, the Motorola Droid Turbo could arrive with a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, a 20MP camera at the back, a 2MP camera in front that helps you capture great looking selfies, and a 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD) display which we do not know of its size just yet.
Of course, all of the above mentioned remains just pure speculation, but one thing we are particularly interested in would be its rapid charging capability – which is something the likes of the Oppo Find 7 comes with, and is handy for the modern day road warrior who might actually forget to charge the night before.
