Acer intends to further enlarge their market and territory with the launch of the Acer Liquid X1, which is a relatively large sized smartphone that will clearly place it in the realm of phablets. This particular phablet was announced in June earlier this year, where the Acer Liquid X1 is right now available exclusively in Taiwan, although work is being done to roll it out in other markets all over Europe and Asia.
The Acer Liquid X1 will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat, where it will also feature a 5.7” IPS display at 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution, and an 8.5mm thin chassis that tips the scales at 164 grams. The asking price for the Acer Liquid X1 would be approximately $265 after conversion, and it will surely not harm Acer’s case to make its way to being the top five smartphone vendors – in Taiwan of course, within the coming two years.
The Acer Liquid X1 will arrive in black and red colors, sporting LTE Cat. 4 connectivity, an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 2,700 mAh removable battery. At the back lies a 13MP camera which sports an f/1.8 aperture, an LED flash, and a Free Focus mode.
