During E3 2014, Sony announced that they would be releasing a special edition white PlayStation 4 in conjunction with the launch of Bungie’s Destiny. In case the photos weren’t clear enough, Sony has since revealed a clearer photo of the white PlayStation 4 that would be making its way to Europe and Japan.
As you can see in the image above, the Japan version of the the white PlayStation 4 will also be getting the Destiny logo emblazoned across it. Given that Destiny in Japan will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, we guess we can understand the extra customization that Sony has done with the console.
Unfortunately it was not mentioned when or where gamers in the US would be able to pick up the white PlayStation 4 Destiny bundle, but according to Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida, he revealed that later in the year, Sony had plans to launch the white PlayStation 4 as a standalone console without Destiny bundled, so perhaps gamers will be able to look forward to that then.
Sony also revealed a custom PlayStation 4 bundle with the remastered version of The Last Of Us, which you can see in the image above where the top portion of the PlayStation 4 console features the characters from the game. Once again availability has yet to be revealed for the US market, but hopefully we will hear from Sony soon.
