The iPhone 5s from Apple certainly did wow the crowd with its Touch ID capability when it was first announced and revealed, and it did mark a possible move to deliver higher degrees of biometric integration between device and user. The FiDELYS smartwatch has a role to play here, being a crowdfunded device at the moment that requires the necessary amount of funds to be realized.
The FiDELYS smartwatch is a wristwatch that will let you pair it up with your smartphone, allowing it to interact with incoming calls, text messages or other functions. Apart from that, there is a particular function that other smartwatches do not carry – a built-in camera which claims to offer iris recognition capability, which would work to let you unlock your device, or act as a proxy for passwords so that there is no need for any manual entry.
The FiDELYS smartwatch will offer Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC wireless communication support, where there is also a heart rate sensor as well as pedometer, and even wireless charging is supported. Of course, it does not forget the bare basics of a smartwatch, and that would include telling the time, delivering notifications, weather forecasts, and being able to control your music collection. Navigation is done via clicking and rotating the bezel, which is different from using a touchscreen display.
