We know many of you guys are excited at the possibility of the Android Wear platform. After all if it is going to be anything like Android, it is going to be huge, and hopefully we can look forward to a ton of Android Wear apps to choose from. Now there are a handful of apps that have already been released and have been designed for Android Wear in mind, and it looks like Evernote has decided on hop onboard the bandwagon as well.
Evernote has recently released a standalone app designed for Android Wear which they are calling Evernote Wear which is available for download via the Google Play Store. For those unfamiliar with Evernote, it’s basically a piece of software available on both the PC/Mac platforms as well as mobile devices.
In a way it is similar to Google Docs where users will be able to create notes, create a notebook of their receipts, a to-do list, and etc., and have it sync across multiple devices so that you will always have the latest version of that document regardless of which platform you’re editing it from. Evernote Wear will be more or less the same, except that it has been designed for Android Wear in mind.
This means that you will be able to create notes and checklists via your smartwatch’s interface without having to take out your phone. This can come in handy if you just want to create a quick voice memo, so you can speak to your watch instead of your phone and have it sync across your devices. It looks pretty handy so if you were eyeing an Android Wear device, perhaps this is an app you’ll want to check out.
