For the most part, smartwatches we’ve come across are priced anywhere from $150-$250, give or take and depending on the brand that you go for. However we’re sure many are curious as to how much the upcoming Moto 360 will cost. After all, the device has been touted by Motorola to pack some premium materials in its build, so naturally we assume it won’t exactly be a budget device, right?
Now we have seen some pricing suggestions where it has been priced at $250. Back in June, a UK retailer had priced it at around $337, and now according to a retailer from China, it seems that they have priced the Moto 360 at 2,800 yuan, which roughly converts to $450. This is a stark contrast to devices like the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, both of which are priced at 1,500 yuan on the website, almost half the price.
Naturally we expect that the price of the Moto 360 will differ from country to country, since different countries use different currencies, not to mention that there are different tax laws as well, thus resulting in different prices. However like we said, the Moto 360 has been touted to feature premium materials in its build, so for it to be priced more isn’t exactly a stretch of the imagination.
What do you guys think? Would you still be interested even if it meant that it could cost twice as much as the LG G Watch or Samsung Gear Live?
