When it comes to the Windows Phone platform, one name would most probably come to our minds, and that would be Nokia, whose smartphone arm is now under the ownership of Microsoft. Having said that, LG too, might continue to ride with the Windows Phone bandwagon later this year after we saw the LG Uni8 leaked earlier this morning. Are there any other players in the Windows Phone market? Apparently, so, with Prestigio that is headquartered in Cyprus. Prestigio is definitely not a well known name in Western markets, since its main concentration of businesses lie in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and their first Windows Phone outing comes in the form of the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO.
Just what kind of hardware specifications will the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO carry? Well, it will run on the Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system and ain’t too shabby where its design is concerned. Apparently, the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO will feature dual SIM support, a 5-inch 720p IPS display, HSPA+, an 8MP shooter at the back with a 2MP front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.
No idea on pricing, but we do know that the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO ought to make a splash in Russia later this July alongside other European markets.
