ASUS has just announced the expansion of their Chromebook family that will see the delivery of fast, sleek, sophisticated and easy-to-use Chrome OS laptops which will be powered by the latest energy-efficient Intel Bay Trail-M processors. Those who are interested will be able to pick the new Chromebook in one of two screen sizes: the 11.6” C200 model as well as the 13.3” C300 model, where they have been specially designed for outstanding mobility and will be able to deliver up to 10 hours of continuous battery life per full charge.
The ASUS Chromebook C200 will boast of an impressively compact chassis that will not feel heavy to tote around, especially when it tips the scales at a mere 2.5lbs, measuring all of just 20mm thin. There is also a hidden screen hinge which would let it look sleek as heck, while the durable matte-finish cover would allow the C200 to deliver a stylish and sophisticated feel that will be fingerprint resistant to boot.
Apart from that, there is also an especially spacious touchpad alongside multi-finger gesture support that makes the new ASUS Chromebooks incredibly comfortable and intuitive to use. You ought to be able to get productive right away thanks to the full-size one-piece seamless chiclet keyboard.
Other hardware specifications of the new ASUS Chromebooks would include the ability to connect up to ultra-fast 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, an HDMI-out port, a USB 2.0 port, as well as a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port.
Each purchase will also be accompanied by 100GB of Google Drive storage for free, for up to two years. Setting up your ASUS Chromebook is a no-brainer since all that is required would be a Google Account, and you’re good to go. Expect the ASUS Chromebook C200 and C300 to ship in the US from the end of next month onward from $249.99 a pop.
