It does seem as though the folks over at HTC are looking at a ‘x16’ naming convention for some of their smartphones under the Desire range. For instance, we have heard about how many pre-orders that the HTC Desire 816 had already received in China, not to mention having an image of the octa-core HTC Desire 616 revealed, and now here we are with the mid-range HTC Desire 316 which had already appeared on the HTC China website.
Credit goes to HTC for making sure that their Desire range of smartphones have done pretty well for themselves over in Asia, so it would not be surprising at all if at the end of the day, the HTC Desire 316 might be made available in this particular region only.
Just what will the HTC Desire 316 come with? For starters, it will feature 5” 540 x 960 display, a 5MP primary camera with a VGA front-facing shooter, a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory which thankfully, can be augmented thanks to a microSD memory card slot, a 1950 mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as the operating system version of choice. It looks set to be a CDMA unit, and it ought to be highly affordable when released. Any takers?
