While having many players in a multiplayer game can be fun, especially if you like the ensuing chaos, it can dampen the overall experience as it can be messy as well as laggy at times. The good news is that if you’re a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 gamer looking forward to getting their hands on Call of Duty: Ghosts, you’re in luck because it seems that the console version of the game could have the maximum number of players in a multiplayer game reduced. This is according to a leaked image obtained by GearNuke where it shows that the number of players in a multiplayer game will be set at a maximum of 12, versus 18 which has usually been the case.
This is only for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but PC gamers and PS4/Xbox One gamers can rest assured in knowing that their max players will remain unaffected at 18. The leaked image also shows that the game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 will require a mandatory 3GB installation, so for those who bought the 4GB version of the Xbox 360, well you guys might run into trouble during installation. We’re not sure why Activision decided to remove some features for older consoles, but we’re guessing hardware might be the reason why, but hopefully apart from the reduction of multiplayer gamers within a game, nothing else has changed, but we guess we will just have to wait and see.
