Blizzard’s Warcraft franchise started off as a real-time strategy game along the lines of StarCraft, but eventually it evolved into an MMORPG in the form of World of Warcraft, which was then expanded to a trading card game, and now it looks like Blizzard plans to take the World of Warcraft game into a more traditional medium in the form of a board game. This is essentially Trivial Pursuit except that it will be themed around the World of Warcraft. Players will be able to ask and answer questions from categories such as Geography, Player Characters, Lore, Loot Villains, Encounters, and even Murlocs.
The game will come with a Murloc dice that has been handcrafted, and players will be able to choose between six different colored Murloc movers. It seems like quite a novel feature and we can imagine it’ll make a great game for guildies to play when they meet up in real life, or during gaming exhibitions such as the upcoming BlizzCon 2013 which is expected to take place in November later this year. The game will be up for purchase later this month from gaming retail stores as well as from Amazon. What do you guys think? Does this sound like a fun game? Any takers?
