Good news Final Fantasy XIV gamers, if you were wondering if you should get the game but were worried that you’d have to pay for the game again when you upgrade to the Sony PlayStation 4, well fret not as Sony has announced that if you already own a copy of the game on the PlayStation 3, you will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 4 version for free when it launches. Sony has also announced that the beta of Final Fantasy XIV for the PlayStation 4 will be available at the launch of the console, indicating that gamers in North American markets can expect to start enjoying the PS4 beta come 15th of November, while other markets can look forward to it on the 29th of November when the PS4 is released for their region.
As it stands Final Fantasy XIV has already been released to the masses and is already available on the PC and PlayStation 3 platforms. The game was confirmed for a PS4 release earlier this year, but it’s good to know that gamers won’t have to pay to upgrade the game if they were to get the PS4. No specific release date was given for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, but it is expected to see a 2014 release.
