Records are meant to be broken – do you believe that particular mantra? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you would be more than pleased to read about the latest smartphone from lesser known smartphone manufacturer OPPO, who has just rolled out the OPPO R819 – where it has been touted by OPPO themselves to be one of the “thinnest and lightest smartphones in the world.” That is a pretty huge claim to live up to, where it tips the scales at a mere 110 grams, all the while packing in a sharp display, long-lasting battery life, and a wide aperture camera, all of it crammed into an extremely svelte 7.3mm frame.
The OPPO R819 will boast of a 4.7” IPS display with OGS technology, delivering amazing viewing angles as well as more than enough space for content. It will come encased in a slim frame of subtle curves and stylish metallic accents, where it is a snap to hold and tote around thanks to the ergonomics of the R819. Not only that, other hardware specifications include Wi-Fi and DLNA connectivity, dual SIM card support, an f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel Sony Exmor BSI back facing camera, a front-facing camera with an 88 degree viewing angle, and a choice between the original Android ROM or OPPO’s Color ROM. The 16GB of internal memory and 1GB RAM rounds off the list of features, while pricing and availability details remain to be seen.
