Earlier this morning, we did bring you word that LG has drawn up some pretty interesting plans for the future – and this particular future will involve the likes of a smartwatch, a new smartphone which will be powered by Mozilla’s Firefox OS, as well as additional tablets that are all set to join the family gadget line up. Of course, we too, are pleasantly surprised at LG’s move to support Firefox OS, since it would be somewhat akin to Samsung and their Tizen as well as Bada OS devices which happen to be a “third pillar” strategy. On a side note, do you think that Firefox OS will be able to make it big in the long run, or will it forever remain as a niche market?
Having said that, what was revealed by a LG spokesperson in Bulgaria did refer to new Android powered tablets, and considering how LG did not roll out new tablet models since 2011 (which happens to be an eternity in the world of consumer electronics), chances are we could be looking at a brand new 8.3 inch model and 9.8 inch model to be thrown into the mix. It remains to be seen just what kind of performance these tablets will be able to deliver, as well as whether they will occupy the high end market or not.
