samsung-galaxy-s4-review-037

Verizon’s vice president of network support, Mike Haberman, has confirmed to Bloomberg that Verizon Galaxy S4 is capable of supporting the carrier’s Advance Wireless Service spectrum. What this means is that Verizon’s version of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone will get almost double the internet speeds as compared to other networks as well as other devices such as HTC One and iPhone 5 on the same network. This is because Verizon Galaxy S4 has the necessary components to support the AWS spectrum. Verizon only needs to push out a software update to enable the support on its Galaxy S4.

Verizon has said that it will be adding more devices that will be compatible with AWS, soon. The only smartphone that Verizon is selling right now which is compatible with AWS is the Galaxy S4. It hasn’t been long since the company released Galaxy S4, Verizon has been quite late to the fray considering the other major U.S. carriers have already had the device on offer for quite some time now. Nevertheless, if you’re a current or prospective Verizon subscriber and Galaxy S4 customer, you’re definitely in for a treat. Verizon sells the Galaxy S4 for $199.99 up front with a two year contract.
