While smart watches might be the new tech accessory that society may start sporting on their wrists, but if you’re looking for something different, perhaps the LinkMe smart bracelet could be just what the doctor ordered. As you can see in the image above, LinkMe is essentially a bracelet worn on the wrist of the user, but it comes with an LED band around it that will display scrolling lines of text. The bracelet will pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth and will have the ability to display text messages as well as social media status updates, allowing you to check your Twitter without having to take your phone out of your pocket.
What makes LinkMe a lot more interesting than smart watches probably has to be its design. It’s made from chrome and has a very clean and minimalist finish to it, so unlike some smart watches, it does not look very tacky, which might be a priority for the fashion conscious tech enthusiast. LinkMe is also able to display the time when not displaying social media updates or text messages, so you can relax if you thought it was a one trick pony. Granted functionality and features are limited with LinkMe compared to smart watches which can offer music playback control and whatnot, but like we said, it’s clean and minimalist and can be yours for $99 if its Kickstarter project is a success.
