Some ideas take a whole lot longer to enter the production and manufacturing process from its incubation period, but the Combimouse is certainly an idea worth exploring. We first covered a story on the Combimouse a few years ago (yes, it has been that long), but it seems that the Combimouse is on the verge of reality now as it has arrived on crowdsourcing site Indiegogo, and will need to raise $20,000 in order to have it roll off the production line.
Basically, the Combimouse is an idea from a small startup company based in Perth, Australia, and their Combimouse would naturally live up to its namesake, being a combination keyboard and mouse. The right segment will function as a keyboard and a mouse, as whenever your hand wraps around it, it functions as a mouse, while there will be specific keys that will double up as mouse buttons so that you can “click” away as and when necessary. You do not even have to move your hand off the keyboard to operate the mouse, all you need to do is drop your hand, hold it, and move it around. Cool, no?
