Up until today, we’ve seen Assassin’s Creed 4 in various screenshots as well as some teaser videos showing its in-game engine, but we have yet to see any official gameplay footage. Ubisoft has finally delivered the games first official gameplay trailer, and as you would expect, it looks pretty awesome.
The gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4 follows Captain Edward Kenway, who is the assassin / pirate you’ll be playing as in this title. In addition to the already expected maneuvering through the world at a freerunner’s pace as well as taking down enemies with a stab here and a pistol shot there, Assassin’s Creed 4 will include underwater explorations which include some impressive visuals. The sea’s wildlife, such as sharks, will keep you on your toes and may have you rethinking about going in the water again.
Kenway will also be making his way to a number of remote islands to explore their secrets, which we’re sure will have some booty buried somewhere on it. Just how many remote locations will be available in Assassin’s Creed 4 is yet unknown, but we’re sure it’ll be enough to keep you busy for a couple of additional hours.
