Do you remember the kind of handsets that Alcatel came up with in the past? I clearly remember their AA-battery powered models, which personally, I felt was a waste as those AA batteries could have served a Game Boy far better, but then again that is my personal opinion. Well, Alcatel does seem to be making a soft comeback of sorts with their Alcatel One Touch Star, and judging by the hardware specifications, folks who are on the lookout for a mid-range device will be able to check it out as it does seem to be a decent device that is set to arrive across the pond soon.

In Sweden, the Alcatel One Touch Star is set to retail for around $315 as an unlocked device, where that will net you a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel shooter at the back with LED flash capability, a VGA camera in front, powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor, accompanied by 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, all running on a 1,500mAh battery, with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice being most likely. I suppose all will be revealed at Mobile World Congress that is set to happen real soon, so stay tuned!
