We’ve heard plenty of stories about exploding phones in the past, and here’s one more to add to the list – this time we’ve there’s video footage to go along with it. According to a report from Kauppalehti.fi, a man from Finland was carrying a phone in his pocket when it suddenly started smoking. Afraid of what might happen next, he threw it onto the ground and backed away from it. Fortunately for that man, he went to work early that morning if not he would have been sleeping next to the phone when that happened.
Now, we have no way to verify how it happened or what caused it. For all we know, this could have been a publicity stunt by a rival company (it happened in Finland) or somebody else who just wanted to create a viral video.
