We’ve seen accessories that one can add to their keys which will allow them to find it in case it has been misplaced. So if you’re looking for an alternative, preferably one that can be controlled via your iOS device, then the Hone might be a Kickstarter project worth taking a look at. The Hone is essentially an accessory that users can attach to their keys and is apparently able to run for six months with its included battery. It also has a 150+ foot range so finding your keys within the vicinity should not be a problem either. It will come with a companion iOS app that will sound when you are getting closer to your keys.
In a way it’s sort of like playing hide-n-seek with your keys, although we’re not sure if that’s such a good idea in an emergency situation. Either way for those interested in helping The Hone Kickstarter project succeed, a minimum pledge of $49 will ensure that you get one Hone shipped to you once the project has been fully funded and has gone into production. Apart from keys, the Hone could probably be used for other things to, perhaps onto your dog’s collar even. Head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
