If you’re looking forward to having an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich experience on a tablet while shopping on a budget, tablets like the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 come to mind. While it certainly is cheaper compared to its higher-end sibling, the ASUS Transformer Prime, its price tag would still put it out of reach for some would-be buyers. That’s pretty much where the Disgo Tablet 8104 comes in and will be priced at a pretty competitive £150 (~$242).
Yup, that’s pretty much the price that Disgo is asking for its Tablet 8104 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device. Featuring a 10.1” 1024×600 display, a 1.2GHz Boxchip Cortex A8 ARM processor under its hood with a Mali-400 GPU, 512MB of RAM, it certainly is not the most powerful tablet we’ve seen. The tablet is also expected to feature 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a micro SDHC card, a front-facing camera but unfortunately will not provide access to the Google Play store. Instead users will have to purchase their apps via the Disgo store or an alternative store such as SlideMe.
The Disgo Tablet 8104 is expected to go on sale later this month, so if you aren’t too fussed about having the latest and greatest hardware, but would rather focus on the price and the software, the Disgo Tablet 8104 sounds like a tablet worth checking out.
