If you’re the type that frequently misplaces your phone, the good news is that if you’re a T-Mobile subscriber with an Android device, the carrier together with Lookout Mobile Security have announced a new service. This service is dubbed “Scream Tones” and as the name implies, will install rather loud and shrill tones on your Android device that will make it easier for you to locate a misplaced device. Of course you could always use a friend or co-workers phone to call your phone to locate it, but what if you forgot to take it off silent mode? This is probably where Scream Tones will shine where it will activate and sound out loud even when the device is in silent mode. It will keep on “screaming” until the phone’s battery dies or until the device is turned off. While it was not specified how users could go about activating Scream Tones, we’re assuming it will be the same way how Lookout’s users wipe a missing or stolen phone which is through its website. Head on over to Lookout’s website to sample some of the Scream Tones.
