A week after the Kindle update for the iPad, Amazon has announced a new update for its Android app as well. The latest version of Kindle for Android brings access to illustrated children’s books, comic books and graphic novels with full color and beautiful illustrations. Your kids will love the fact that they can now read over 1000 children’s titles such as Brown Bear and Curious George as well as popular comics like Batman, Superman and many more on your Android tablet/smartphone.
In addition to support for illustrated books, the update lets you email personal documents to your “Send-to-Kindle” email address (where they will be delivered to Kindle for Android and automatically archived in the Amazon Cloud for redownloading). And just like with Whispersync, all your notes, highlights, and last page read for personal documents will be synced across all your devices with Kindle as well.
