The world was reminded yet again in March this year that tsunamis can be extremely deadly – and while bomb shelters and cellars are useful to flee to safety whenever a tornado lands in town, you can’t really escape from a tsunami unless you have had sufficient time (with a good early warning system, of course). What happens when the wave is about to overcome you in a matter of minutes, and you know it is humanly impossible to flee to safety? New Comsopower of Japan might have the remedy – the Noah capsule that was specially designed to float in the water until you are rescued.
Noah comprises of a fiberglass capsule that measures 4-feet in diameter, and all you need to do is run and lock yourself inside when the whole world around you is swept away. It has been specially designed to be rather durable, sporting a lookout window as well as breathing holes to keep you sane and alive while inside. Since it is bright yellow in color, rescuers shouldn’t have any troubles picking it out during their efforts, and something tells me an enterprising Japanese artist would just paint Pikachu’s features all over it.
The only drawback? Noah cannot withstand a fire, since its occupant, you, will probably end up roasted inside. Having said that, already 600 orders have been made at $3,900 apiece. Any takers?
