If you’ve wondered about what the new Apple Campus is going to look like when it is completed, look no more. Some new documents detailing the project have been released to the public, and we can finally see what the Apple Campus 2 is will look like. While Apple might be the company that resides in the building, the folks behind the project are Foster + Partners, ARUP North America and Kier & Wright – big names in the architecture industry. When completed, the Apple Campus 2 will have – an office and research and development building about 2.8 million square feet for up to 13,000 employees, a 1,000 corporate auditorium, a corporate fitness center, research facilities that will take up approximately 300,000 square feet, a central plant and of course – associated parking.
Judging by the image renders of the Campus 2, it looks like it could be a spaceship of some sort, or an alien mothership – depending on where your interests lie in. But regardless of the inspiration behind the design, it’s one impressive looking campus. Cupertino is currently reviewing the environmental impact of the project but things but things are looking good for Apple so far. If everything goes according to plan, you can expect to see the building completed in the year 2015. Check out more images and detailed PDFs over at 9to5Mac.
